Storm Phase Strategy
Early game loadouts should prioritize close-range weapons and quick heals. You are likely fighting off-spawn with whatever you grabbed first. A shotgun and SMG combo covers most early fights. Mid game shifts toward medium-range ARs and mobility items. You need to rotate safely and pick fights on your terms. Late game and moving zones demand precision. Snipers and scoped ARs gain value when players are boxed up. Building materials become more important than extra heals. The optimizer weights these shifts automatically based on your storm phase selection.
Common mistake: carrying a sniper in early game when you have no close-range backup. If someone lands on your roof, that sniper is dead weight. The optimizer flags these conflicts and suggests swaps.
Loot Tier Realities
Grey and green weapons work fine in early fights but fall off hard against blue shields and above. A grey AR needs 7 body shots to kill a fully shielded opponent. A blue AR needs 5. That two-shot difference decides fights. The optimizer calculates damage breakpoints against expected shield levels in your storm phase. If you are in late game with grey loot, it will recommend avoiding fair fights and prioritizing placement.
Purple and gold weapons are not always the best choice. A gold sniper is useless if you cannot aim. The optimizer considers weapon ease-of-use alongside raw damage. Sometimes a blue shotgun beats a gold sniper for your playstyle.
Team Composition Tips
Solo players need self-contained loadouts. You carry your own heals, your own mobility, and your own close-range answer. Duos can split duties. One player runs AR and heals, the other runs shotgun and utility. Trios and squads unlock specialist roles. Designate a sniper, a builder, a healer, and a fragger. The optimizer adjusts item recommendations based on how many teammates can share the load.
Building material optimization changes with team size too. Solo players should carry 500+ mats at all times. Squads can pool materials and have one dedicated builder hold 999 while others carry 300 each. The optimizer suggests mat targets based on your team size and storm phase.
Common Loadout Mistakes
- Double heals, no mobility. You can heal all you want but if the storm eats you, those bandages are wasted. Always have at least one mobility item after mid game.
- No shield break weapon. If your only ranged option is a grey AR, you will lose trades against anyone with shields. Carry a weapon that can crack shields fast.
- Ignoring building materials. Mats are your true health bar. Running out of mats in a build fight is a death sentence. The optimizer includes mat targets in every recommendation.
- Overvaluing gold weapons. A gold weapon you cannot hit shots with is worse than a blue weapon you are comfortable with. Stick to what you practice.
- Same loadout every match. The island changes, the storm moves differently, and your opponents adapt. Your loadout should adapt too. That is the whole point of this optimizer.
